Parenting can be extremely rewarding enlightening and enjoyable; it can also be very draining, challenging, demanding, frustrating and tiring. `Parents have the most important role of raising the next generation but it can not be denied, it can also be one of the most difficult jobs in the world. There are no manuals, precise guidelines, policies or procedures or even holidays and weekend breaks. So is it any wonder parenting can be a struggle?
We have worked with both parents and children for over 30 years in a variety of capacities and witnessed (on a large scale) the difficulties involved. Parenting can bring so much love and joy but also the disappointments and frustrations of poor behaviour, refusal to go to school, getting in trouble in and out of school, poor social skills and bad tempers. In fact, the list is almost endless.
As parents we sometimes feel we have to do it all alone, but this doesn’t have to be the case.
We provide a 12-16 week Course, which will provide support to parents when dealing with children's identified behaviour. The course gives you the strategies to build positive relationships and become familiar with techniques such as; praise for doing and praise for being, quality time and listening. Once you have identified and practiced you new techniques you will create and develop your own patterns of behaviour and structure with a personal parenting style of your own.
Parenting is a niche programme that has been put together from many years of experience and working with parents, professionals, learners and their families? This intervention will develop a closer relationship between the key people that support children with social emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The three-way toolbox uses psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural and psychological methods to change the behaviour of both parents and learners and, also change thought processes through the social dynamics of family life.
This programme has a collaborative approach assisting parents, teachers and pupils, to become aware of working together towards a balanced equilibrium, and to adopt working relationships with teachers and TA’s, with the implementation of strategic tools to assist with modifying children’s behaviours.
This unique integrated concept and model of working identifies non protective and protective factors and provides helpful advice for individual circumstances by promoting positive parenting that may begin to change conditioned behaviours and support individual stages of development that arise through the transitional periods facing young children today. It is a time where parents, professionals and children start to gain additional knowledge and ideas, from reflectively working the same programme ethic and collaboratively designing interventions, activities and psychological solutions for the many challenges we may face throughout their lives.
This structured inter-agency working is based on effective practice and assessment strategies, that help to ensure a no mixed message, or communication confusion, this is crucial for providing positive outcomes for our young individuals, travelling along their journey into realistic independence. It is also a crucial ingredient in building structured relationships with parents teachers and children, this provides the confidence and awareness needed to promote and support the structure of their ongoing work within The 3 Way Toolbox experience.
The content of the programme gives step-by-step advice and guidance on a variety of parenting strategies. The programme will display many and new ways of parenting your child but the key is to follow the programme on a weekly basis.
